The Sales Manager’s primary responsibility will be to manage sales for our client’s microanalysis products in Canada. This includes explaining the technology and applying the products and their benefits to the customer’s application. Building and maintaining customer relationships in this direct sales role is the key to our success. This is a home office position and will be based in Eastern Canada, ideally in the vicinity of one of the following cities: Toronto, Montreal or Ottawa.

Duties Include:

  • Manage and provide direct sales in Canada
  • Pro-actively develop and pursue new prospects
  • Develop and maintain relationships with multiple OEM partners
  • Learn and understand technical specifications and value-proposition of products
  • Maintain and routinely update customer and prospect database
  • Generate monthly sales forecasts and lost order reports
  • Co-ordinate response to inquiries, bids and RFQ’s
  • Generate proposals and quotations
  • Oversee post sales activities, installation, training and service
  • Regularly follow up sales to facilitate offers of upgrades and service contracts
  • Reporting and discussing sales situations with the Sales Manager

Requirements:

  • Minimum BS or higher in a physical science or engineering
  • 2 or more years sales experience in technical capital equipment sales is preferred
  • Exposure to electron microscopy and x-ray microanalysis techniques also preferred.
  • Experience/willingness to travel 50%-70% throughout Canada
  • Candidates must be self-motivated and an adaptable
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Fluency spoken and written in English required additional French language skills a plus
  • Valid Canadian Passport
