Who We Are
After more than 20 years of serving the laboratory sciences industry, Owner and Managing Director Emil Gerardi found a need for trust and empathy in the executive search market and founded TESA Talent in 2017. We strive to be a different kind of talent acquisition solution, one that truly knows and understands the employers we partner with.

Our Team
Emil Gerardi, Managing Director
Emil Gerardi is the Managing Director of TESA Talent. He has worked in the lab sciences industry in various recruiting capacities for over 20 years. Emil began his career in HR and Internal Recruitment for a manufacturer of analytical instruments before his 12 years of progressive headhunting and leadership experience with Management Recruiters International (MRI). He founded TESA Talent in 2017 to offer a refreshing approach to talent acquisition by leveraging his deep understanding of the lab sciences industry to deliver impact players to top employers in lab sciences.
Nicolas Barrantes, Executive Recruiter
Nicolas Barrantes is an Executive Recruiter at TESA Talent with a mission to advise Life Science professionals on their next career opportunity. Nicolas takes pride in holding TESA’s clients and candidates as a priority and aims to be regarded as a trusted advisor by both. In his free time, Nicolas is working towards earning his MBA from the Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins. Nicolas also enjoys hard-enduro racing, hiking, swimming, and spending time with friends and family.
Abigail Lammel, Marketing Operations Manager
Abbie Lammel is the Marketing Operations Manager of TESA Talent. She has been working in communications, operations, and marketing for 11 years, and enjoys being the person in the office everyone comes to asking “how do we do X procedure again?”. When not in the office Abbie can be found reading bad science fiction novels, at her CrossFit gym, our out walking her dog, Oberon.
