Formerly known simply as TESA Talent, we’ve evolved into TESA Talent Advisory, which better reflects our approach. In 2017, after more than 20 years of serving the laboratory sciences industry, Owner and Managing Director Emil Gerardi identified a need for an industry expert —a consultative recruiting partner to companies seeking to upgrade their talent management processes and gain greater access to elusive talent. In a profession full of transactional recruiters looking to make a placement, TESA Talanet Advisory was built on the core values that represent the polar opposite of the characteristics that deter many people from trusting recruiters.   We strive to be a different kind of recruitment firm, one that truly understands and guides the employers we partner with.

Our Team

Emil Gerardi, Managing Director

Emil Gerardi is the Managing Director of TESA Talent Advisory. He has worked in the lab sciences industry in various recruiting capacities for over 20 years. Emil began his career in HR and Internal Recruitment for a manufacturer of analytical instruments before his 12 years of progressive headhunting and leadership experience with Management Recruiters International (MRI). He founded TESA Talent in 2017 to offer a refreshing approach to talent acquisition by leveraging his deep understanding of the laboratory sciences industry to deliver impact players to top employers in the field. He loves his dogs, cats, Pearl Jam, and the Yankees almost as much as he loves his family. 

 

 

Nicolas Barrantes, Executive Recruiter

Nicolas Barrantes is an Executive Recruiter at TESA Talent Advisory with a mission to advise Life Science professionals on their next career opportunity. Nicolas takes pride in prioritizing TESA’s clients and candidates and aims to be regarded as a trusted advisor by both. In his free time, Nicolas is working towards earning his MBA from the Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins. Nicolas also enjoys hard-enduro racing, hiking, swimming, and spending time with friends and family.
